google’s hiring processes obviously in need of review
I remember reading once that Google used to only hire PhD’s. Obviously after you grow past a certain size, it becomes impossible to find enough PhD grads to fill your quotas (and I’m guessing a PhD is somewhat overkill for a receptionist, or a janitor) and you have to reduce your expectations — but even so, how did the guy in this story get through their much-vaunted employment process…?
